18 villages around Nakten greets you welcome!
This gorgeous countryside Nakten with lake Nakten and the cleanest water in Sweden, according to tests
taken by LO.´s (Swedish Trade Union Federation) environment buss only a few years ago.
Lake
Nakten offers good fishing with, amongst others,
- char
- trout
- grayling
- lavaret
- pike
- perch
- burbot
and is a nature resource that has to be experienced.
Lake Nakten is 83 km2 and almost 40 km long.
Out of the 365 islands in Nakten you can go ashore on many of them. The deepest point in the lake in
about 50 meter. At the village Sinnberg you can look out over the lake to the west and see Nas Church with Ovik´s Mountain
in the backgroud (see picture in the Swedish page).
For the hiker who wants extra challenge we have the most famous Pilgrim Route among other hiking routes
around the lake. We can offer accomodation-restaurants-horse carriage-fishing-scooter routes- bicycles to rent-fishing with
seine-rowing boats-baking of thin flat unleavened breadshacks-grill places-places to swim and historical and archaeological
